The discovery meeting is the most important step of our journey together. It’s a chance for us to get to know one another and see if we connect. We work best with couples that are like minded, adventurous, enjoy travel, put family first and see the value in good photography. We love meeting new couples, listening to their unique love stories and collaborating with them.
At this stage we will be chatting further with you about the logistics of your day to ensure we are offering you the appropriate coverage. We’ll discuss your vision for the overall flow of the event and will make suggestions based on our experience. We recommend booking your photography coverage at least 1 year before your wedding day to ensure availability.
There are many months from the time you reserve our team until your wedding day but don’t worry we’ll stay connected! We know that you have a million items on your to-do list and the last thing we want you worrying about are details regarding your photography. We will check in with you 3 or 4 months prior to your wedding to go through the updated timeline and make sure we are on the same page. This would also be a good time to create a wish list for group photos or any other special moments that have come up (or been added) since you started your wedding planning journey.
Checking out the venue a few days before the wedding is key. Even if we have already photographed a hundred weddings at your particular venue, something may have changed due to weather, construction… who knows…. but we would rather be prepared than surprised (most of the time anyway:).
